Trouble is it was closer to 30yrs ago I heard it and more than once, but it seems most likely a leg pull.
As a matter of interest I knew an archer who made his own recurve bow, metal handle as well as the wood /glass limbs and made M B with it .I dont know if he was a coach ,his name was Eddie Hood.Before any one asks ,no he wasn't Robins brother ,I'm not quite that old.I remember Eddie as a very nice chap .
