I'm with Furface - medics aren't noted for their sense of humour when you disregard their advice. What's a week of two layoff compared to possibly permanent damage and having to give up shooting altogether? Give it time to sort itself out, then get some advice about your release. You might then find that your nice new PB becomes your routine score!
