After seeing the Gold Tip demo video on the end of the Vegas DVD where they shoot a Pro Hunter into a target with a machine, then into a breeze block and then back at he target, I decided to buy a set for club nights as I am breaking too many arrows, usually 1 a week.
The info from Gold Tip is:
"Pro Hunter shafts are guaranteed to the most consistent graphite hunting arrows in the world. Each arrow is tested to a straightness tolerance of +/-.001” and weight tolerance of one grain per dozen to make them the most accurate wrapped graphite arrow ever built."
They cost me £63 for 12 BTW
They say first impressions count, these arrows made the best first impression of any of the arrows I have bought, from ACC's to X10's They come out of the boss like a dream, for once I didn't feel like I was dislocating my shoulder with every pull. Our club distance is only 18yds and I was shooting them from my Bladerunner 60lb at 28" draw, no stabalizer. With the 5 pin sight I was shooting better than I normally do with my Bowtech and scope.
I think I will give them a try with my allegiance tomorrow night. I can believe the video now I have seen them first hand. For those of you who have not seen it, apart from shooting it into a breeze block, then the target (no difference in grouping) they also bend the arrow 4" in a jig. When compared to carbons from other manufacturers, the Pro Hunter returns to near perfect straightness, the others turn into wibbly wobbly round the corner arrows
