Just to divert a bit I was told at a recent coaches meeting that If it is 3 spot faces then there is a double penalty for shooting an extra arrow.
first the face with 2 arrows highest is discounted (no change there) but also the highest score of the other 2 faces is discounted as the arrow previously discounted is counted again as a miss.
I think the theory is that the 2 arrows in the same face could have been from the first 3 arrows.
This apparently came from a discussion at internationl judge level.
