First ever National

First ever National

Had a go at my first ever national round this morning, I was a bit apprehensive as I have not shot at 60 yards before and didn’t have a sight mark.
First slighter straight over the top of the target. After a bit of fiddling with the sight got the other five on the target.
So I could hit the distance but could I keep them all on the face.

Anyway 72 arrows later with only one hitting the big green bit, I got a score of 391 with 71 hits and 14 gold’s and my first 3rd class score in the book.

With a big smile on my face we went back to the club house for a spot of lunch, where I was asked “We are doing another national round this afternoon do you feel like stopping?”

Why not.

So this afternoon another 72 arrows later I score a 457 again with 71 hits and 14 gold’s. Well chuffed.

Someone told me this sport could become addictive, I think it already has !!!
