I am shooting 40 lb Hoyt G3 limbs, 30 inch Navigator 540 arrows with 110 grain piles. The limbs appear to be wound in full according to one of our senior club members. The rest is a flipper type rest, where the tension of the flipper if coarsely adjusted by bending the prong arms apart/together. I cannot use one of the more faancy rests as my rider has only one hole drilled in it, and it is occupied by the pressure button. Judging by the impact angle and grouping at the target face, the arrows appear to fly straight at distances from 20yds to 100yds.

can you offer any advice on curing this problem. Will the rest flipper tension play much of a part? It was set quite weak.

For your setup

40# limbs @28"

limbs wound right in ADD 2-3#
30" Arrows ADD 4 #

So without weighing you are probably at 46+# on your fingers

giving a spine of 480 for Navigators

Plus you have a heavy pile which will weaken the dynamic spine so you might need 430's

You must weigh the limbs at your draw length and try some stiffer arrows to see which can be tuned.

EDIT: go to the easton archery website for a downloadable arrow spine program!
