Have one of these too, works a charm providing you don't tighten up the mount on the brass barrel that holds the tension spring when setting the height. This has the effect of overriding the tension that you set!
Agree with preceeding post, you just want the bare amount of tension to hold the arrow up at full draw. When you sit the arrow on it it should depress slightly then almost pop up as you draw back.
Good luck with it. I wish I'd brought the pro version which has a scale on the barrel, useful for maintenance when you need to put it back in the right place! |
