I don't think there is anything dignified in being told you smell less than pleasant or your personal hygiene is lacking. To me it is pretty much the worst offence. I'd rather work with someone I disliked intensely than with someone I can smell two rooms over.

Maybe if it didn't horrify me quite so much I could come up with something suitable to say. For now, I'll just avoid him as much as possible and thank my stars he works in the other end of the building and not in my area.
