I've been working on trying to get everything to be subconscious. I tend to shoot my best scores when I am in a state of mental exhaustion (not physical as this impedes my scores) and my mind doesn't have a chance to think about things too much. I let the shooting get on with itself and the scores will follow.
However, the times I have been able to truly get in the zone, I wasn't overly tired or stressed. But they were in times when I had been training a great deal and my body knew the movements without me thinking about it. When it becomes second nature to do things exactly the same, I think that is when I start to get closer to it.
