Can we get back to discussing the pros and cons of two fletchings. I'm interested in knowing more about this as I have some clearance issues with 3 fletchings. I shoot compound with a spring steel launcher and narrow tripple shafts this leads to some contact which I'd rather not have. I like to shoot flonite K vanes but this makes the clearance worse but maybe two instead of three would solve the problem. I've shot 3 fletch shafts with a fletching missing before and been surprised how little difference it makes. All fletchings are doing is providing drag at the back and a method of rotating the shaft so two fletchings working harder will probably do the job of three. Some archers shoot with 4 fletchings so why are we so hung up on the 3 fletch design
