Ok Ok - I decided to shoot barebow for a change. Insanity as I'd tried a dozen at the club on Sunday and couldn't hit anything other than grass at 60 yards. Anyway - managed to hit the target most of the time on the day - and so (by the simple ploy of being the only barebow shooter) won the barebow category. Hmmm, must try that again!! Creme egg prize was excellent!!
I am not divulging my score as its too embarrassing to publish. Most people would score more by throwing the arrows. However I really enjoyed the freedom - and I reckon I learned a bit about body alignment too.
Davies junior, however, is set to claim another Welsh record with his longbow score for Junior Western (again by the cunning ploy that the record is vacant!). If only the results didn't show him as shooting recurve!
(Actually - nothing really embarrasses me - 325.

)
There was some really good shooting on the day. The winning compound was 850 - sure that's v v close to the current GNAS record? (860??)
