i dont THINK thats the issue
maybe i didnt explain the movement im seeing clearly enough - the arrows themselves arent going right (in fact theyre ending up left of aim if anything)
what happens is the arrows exit the bow but after about 5 - 10 metres the back (fletched) end of the arrow kicks out to the right (the tip of the arrow still travelling FAIRLY straight) before coming back into line again - the best parallel i can think of is the movement of a car in a rear wheel skid - the whole thing is still moving forward in its line but at a diagonal angle to the direction of movement before it straightens up again and flies STABLE to the target (although the movement MUST surely be affecting where the arrow ends up) -
