I know better than them?

Ok,

A (real) Scenario;

Archer goes to bow shop. Buys new bow and arrows.
Archer goes to club, and when asked about the bow he says "36# medium limbs and my arrows are 28" 1813 XX75's" ".
Club know-it-all turns around and says, whoa, wait a minute, those are the wrong arrows, they should be 2013's!.

However, when our friend the archer shoots his bow, the arrows fly perfectly, tune perfectly and he shoots well with them. He is however unhappy with the equipment and complains to the shop, because his friend told him the spine was wrong.

So, what assumptions did Mr know-it-all make that were wrong?

Kae.
