| O.K. I'm going to get some real flak now. In my opinion. there should be one and only one governing body for archery in the U.K. G.N.A.S.! In my opinion, we have too many different "societies" N.F.A.S. E.F.A.S. B.L.B.S. etc. etc. Other sports have governing bodies, why shouldn't we all come under the G.N.A.S, umbrella?. "Sorry, you can't shoot with us, You are not G.N.A.S. No, Sorry, you are not N.F.A.S. etc.etc. But when a swan or other animal gets shot with an arrow (crossbow or other)Who gets the flak? G.N.A.S.! Also, I dont't believe in Longbow clubs and longbow shoots! We promote archery in all it's forms, what would happen if we put on a compound bow only shoot? Apart from finishing sooner, not having to rake for longbow arrows, they would be up in arms at being left out!. Joking aside, It's time we addressed the situation before it gets out of hand and accidents of a serious nature happen!. |
