So I was bound to get a PB and some Rose award at Banchory
I had some issues on Saturday and did not shoot as well as I know I could, so my PB was set at 1088. Sunday was a much better day and I even managed a 6-gold end in the first couple of dozen at 100 yards. I was up 58 points after 80 yards, but a sloppy 60 yards meant I didn't improve any further than that. So I finished on 1146.
The final result was:
- My second and third competition bowman scores this year.
- PB 1146 for a York
- 1000 and 1100 Rose awards
- 6-gold end at 100 yards.
And to top it all, Maxine (she who thinks she ought to be obeyed), got her first two bowman scores in competition shooting the Hereford. With a very respectable 1133 on Sunday and a 6 gold end on Saturday. So her confidence is sky high as she prepares to shoot for the Eastern Area ladies compound team at the Pentangle match next Sunday.
