I was responsible for inflicting a wound, a long time ago. Teaching new archer at University. First time she drew up, wearing sleeveless shirt, managed to release string exactly in line with bow shoulder and arm. String passes all along upper and lower arm. Flayed - large strips of skin hanging off, and lots of oozing blood. Fainting by all concerned. She never drew a bow again.

ouch!! I think I would have fainted too.
So far, (touch wood) I haven't injured myself but my friend hit her elbow with the string twice on her first lesson and has had a rather large, nasty bruise for the past 2 weeks
