Guys...
All of your input is very helpful and thought provoking. I've just finished resetting-up my 1995 Browning, went to the club yesterday evening, did some basic sighters at 20, 30 and 40 yards then shot 330 with 42 arrows at 40 yards using imperial outdoor scoring on a 60cm target face.
Our club has a "Target 300" scheme at 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 yards (badges being white, black, blue, red and gold respectively). Recurve archers get a full 122cm face!!!
Despite the fact that the bow (in bow years) is even older than I (in sort of human years), then I was slightly chuffed.
Happily, my good wife has given me a budget that will enable me to purchase a good quality bow of one to two years of age.
