World Outdoor Champs Germany 2007

Well, I couldn't find another thread on this so I thought I'd better start one.

The (senior) World Archery Championships are currently taking place in Leipzig Germany (7 - 15th July). GBR have archers attending and this event is not only important because its the world champs but also because it is being used to "win" places in the 2008 Olympic games. If a country doesn't do well here they could end up with no representatives at the Olympics.

Details about the event are on the FITA website.FITA Website (It's running pretty slow at the moment).

GBR archers attending are:
Recurve Men
Laurence Godfrey
Simon Terry
Alan Wills

Recurve Women
Charlotte Burgess
Naomi Folkard
Alison Williamson

Compound Men
James Forbes
Liam Grimwood
Chris White

It looks like we have no compound women taking part.

The qualification rounds are currently taking place. Compound happened yesterday (Sunday), recurve women is today (Monday), and recurve men takes place tomorrow (Tuesday). Results from the compound are:
Compound Men
Top score, Rodger Willett (USA) 1391.
139 competitors taking part.
GB Archers
27. James Forbes 1364
28. Liam Grimwood 1363
46. Chris White 1351

So I think this means they all make the cut for the head 2 heads.

Compound Women
Top score, Erika Anschutz (USA) 1408
73 competitors taking part.
