Even Winners Choice do not seem to have ready made cables for Hoyt (they do have strings).
I've found someone who can make me a replacement for the broken cable tonight. I know the string is OK, but I need to get the other cable off the bow and inspect it very carefully along with the cam that is still attached to a cable. Hopefully I can get the bow back together tomorrow or Wednesday and get it set up so I can shoot this weekend. I'm then away for a 10 days on a business trip and a full replacement set will arrive while I'm away so I can get them fitted when I get back, or at least after the competition I go to on Saturday after arriving back from Canada on Friday... There may be more opportunities to qualify for a Fonz award int eh next few weeks |
I would have thought that any dealer selling the bows should keep stocks of something like the cables which are in many ways a "consumable" item. I change mine on a pretty regular basis as routine maintenance, rather than risking a failure. But good luck with the new cables. Personally, I think the cams and axles are tough enough to withstand the odd shock like that.
