Rather belatedly, I am coming into this debate between two GMBs, one of whom has assisted me greatly with the choice of my current bow.

I have no idea what "punching" is but will be interested to learn.

Having just returned from JNOC with my protege I noticed that most of the guys were using Beiter 39mm scopes and, being a nosey parker, I established that they are using a 0.75 diopter (6X) magnification.

Please can you advise me whether or not this is a good choice of scope and magnification for all distances and why you take that view (or a contrary view)?

I notice that the Bowsports site adds the following detail in respect of the above scope: -

Frames for the BEITER Scope Ø39 are available as Kit, including 1 each of following frames in the ordered colour: Ø39/Ø34, Ø39/Ø30, Ø39/Ø26, Ø39/Ø24.

Sorry for seeming thick again but I've no idea what this means or what its significance is. Please can you enlighten?
