The position of the bow balance point in front of the riser is mainly just a function of the weight of the riser - there is no "ideal" position. Dinna worry about it. As above it's the dynamic behaviour of the bow that matters.

Fitting a V bar system without an extender is like fitting bicycle tyres without putting air in them. Your choice - but it doesn't work so well.
