OK - don't know how you "should" do it but what I do is use the taper tool just for a couple of turns to give them somewhere to start. I then use slow set epoxy and screw them down with pliers. The pliers do mark the brass - haven't tried very hard to find a way of avoiding that as I usually break the arrows soon enough anyway!
