the long and the short - TXG's the best

On the Forum's I frequent I try to tone down my recommendations for fear of being accused of shilling. I guess I can tell ya how things work for me if ya are on the manufacturer forum. Now I don't lnow if ya should mention other products on a manufacturer's forum so I won't.

What this is all about is the TXG's limbs (esp longs) on 21" risers (esp for hunting and 3D). I only draw 28" but I am a string walker so the longs give me a little more forgiveness. This means that for 20yd shots my crawl is around 1&1/8". In hunt situations where you may be leaned out of a stand, etc this can put a lot of unintentional torque on a string even though you are doing your best to shoot on the square (good form). To me this is where the TXG's shine their brightest.

It is my opinion that if you are standing on the target line most of the top end limbs will fill the bill and do the job. On the other hand if ya have $5K invested in a hunt and your shot is an off balance sharp down hill leaning a little over to get between two trees at a 30 yd Elk there is one set of limbs that will give you a true advantage........even if you are a string walker. The limbs are the Border TXG's. The torsional stability of the TXG's has been a serious help to me.

Now I find out the Border has a pair of limbs that are even stiffer Oh man I gotta start saving my money. For a string walking hunter stiff is good

Are the other string walkers that like to shoot a 66" bow?
