I would agree that there is no real need for carbons indoors, especially for a real beginner.

However, I have shoot a set of A/C/C's for my first year, which I bought second-hand, and have only just changed to a set of triples . It did me no harm in my first indoor season and I was then used to them when it came to the start of the outdoor season.

Just a thought.

If you defiantly want a set of carbons, which is sounds like you do, don’t let anyone change your mind its your money at the end of the day and a good second-hand set off eBay are quite cheep.
