err no, neither in the horizontal nor vertical planes.
In the horizontal, your nocking point should be about 3-4mm above the line of level. In the vertical, your centre shot should set your arrow slightly to the left of the string (if you're right handed).
So in both planes, your arrow is not parallel to the long rod.
