| Cakemeister's coach has a son. At a recent GB squad day, one of the exercises was to come to full draw, aim (at 18 metres), then close the eyes, count to 5 and release. Son does this. 1st arrow buries itself in wall low left; 2nd arrow exactly same (Dad isn't here, so expense can continue!); 3rd arrow slightly better, and embeds itself in left stand leg. What this - very good - archer was doing was falling over backwards when he closed his eyes, feeling this and "jerking to attention" just before he released. He could control this with eyes open, but was obviously needing to work on it. Blank bossing with eyes open and alone could not have highlighted this - only eyes closed and with a friend.
