| I had new varifocals last time I went (within a year) - still take my glasses off to read a book though. Both children went a couple of weeks ago and both had new glasses - my daughter for the first time as she was complaining of not being able to see the board properly at school. I had my first pair when I was about 10 so 40plus years of wearing the things. We support our local optician or ophthalmologist or whatever they call themselves nowadays.
