For a one piece wooden bow I'd suggest a 35lb Border Black Reiver with the new TX40 limbs and you won't need the extra 5lbs. Or get a takedown and up the poundage if and when required.
I recently got a shot of the latest Black Douglas and if I had the money I'd be ordering one. It was 45lbs and shot so fast and flat that I'd need to drop the weight down at least 5lbs to get anywhere near my usual sight marks. And for a wood riser it had no handshock that I could feel. Also with Border you could discuss any medical problems which might determine the grip shape.
