I've had a Hoyt Eclipse and now have a Hoyt Helix, and I've never had Hoyt limbs on either of them! I've had Samick Universals, W&W Everest Pro and now Samick Extremes, and cant say I've had any fitting problems at all.

I suspect what you've heard is a one-off story.
