with recurve make your own strings it is far easier and not too critical. With compound buy the strings and cables from a good manufacturer and if you have a little bit of peep rotation well it doesnt take a second to cure. The girl in question in watch man post had only had the strings and cables on for that day effectiveley. I have to say that I have taught tim everything he knows and would never call him clued up
