As for the new FITA Field rules, they're crap. How is the sport or the round improved by shortening the time limit. On the unmarked course 4 minutes isn't unreasonable and by the old rules it is only applied, "When an athlete or a group of athletes are causing undue dela..."
As for the 6 instead of just an X, again it's crap. The whole point is to break ties. there are two possible methods to break ties already. Why is it now an improvement to add points?
