Yes well spotted, the arrow shelf needs some rounding off on the belly side. I suffered some serious feather wear and tear, but easily fixable.
As for design is was pretty easy really. There are loads of American sites with great buildalong guides with clear photos. Some are better bowyers than others though. For your first go you want something prety simple,(unless your a carpenter or something!)
