Dave's introductory spiel

Hi Guys,

My full name is David MacKean Goudie. I'm a Scot. I have 2 B.Sc.s and have been unemployed for a while. I started archery in 1973 while completing a P.G.C.E. at Moray House in Edinburgh. I joined Falkirk Company of Archers and shot in competitions in the 70s and 80s. I've only once shot a 1st class score. I became an archery coach, but because of a midlife crisis I 'dropped out' of teaching and archery. in 1988. I came back to archery 2 years ago and am enjoying it again.
I shot with a Border Argosy, then a Hoyt TD3 until 6 months ago when one of my buddies suggested buying new equipment. I now have a Hoyt Matrix. I have 38# limbs, but since my form wasn't progressing, I was advised to shoot for a while with lighter limbs (Samick 32#). In the past 6 months I've changed my style 3 times in an effort to achieve efficiency and consistency. It has been a very difficult time, but I'm beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel now. I have had a lot of encouragement from guys at Falkirk Company of Archers and at Grange Archers. I like haggis and neeps, intelligent, attractive women and working abroad in 3rd world countries.
