It will be interesting to find out if and how archery limbs wear out, the limbs on my Perris whitehart have worn through the dark coating on the string grooves and I know of one member of my club who has retired a set of limbs because of this.

Agree with Border I use a thin coating of nail varnish on the limb groves once a year is good enough.
Black, White or clear(if white limbs) are best, pink got too many comments and the ones with sparklely bits are no good at all, also the stuff that does not need an undercoate seems more durable get the other half to explain
