A couple weeks ago I was away helping out a County Coach with a Leader Course at a Scout Centre as part of my County Coach training. We were discussing proper usage of the back muscles and working with the participants on good DFL. A little bit of talk about the release and how when everything is in place it results in the string hand automatically moving back nicely along the neck etc..
For some fun we get the great idea to demonstrate a shot with a wrist release as we figured this would do the trick. Yours truly is volunteered to do the shot. I get on the shooting line with an Indian training bow and a wrist sling trigger. Insert arrow, click trigger onto string, draw back to a great DFL keeping bow hand in text book position. I gently squeeze concentrating on making a good shot. Next thing I know my draw hand is in perfect position and the bow is bouncing on the floor toward the target
You should have seen the look on their faces including the coach

Me, I just wanted to crawl into a deep hole somewhere
