| shoot through Hi,
I don't think it matters whether or not the riser is shoot through. I like the theory that all is in balance etc. etc. Then they put a sight on one side and destroy all their hard work. I've had several bows in my time and there is no doubt in my mind, the one that matches my shooting and physique is the one I should use. When we buy a bow we then buy arrows that match. That seems sound sense to me. Why start with bow/ arrow match? I believe the starting point is bow /archer match. To get that match right, we need to have clear ideas as to what we want from the bow. When you shoot your first bow it is almost impossible to know what is good for you. Some sort of options list could help. Is the bow lively or not? Is the bow grip above centre or at the centre? Is the weight forward or not? Is the weight in the hand too much for me or not? Does the draw make it easy to keep the body well balanced through the draw?( sudden let off can upset some archers)
Some bows seem to drag on the bow arm during the follow through; others seem almost weightless. Judge by the shooting experience not the advertising or looks.
All the best
