A few years ago I was shooting a Protec XT2000 Spiral. It was fast and accurate, however even with a side weight I was always canting to the right.
I eventually cracked it and picked up a UltraElite XT3000 and put Spirals on. It was the same speed as the Protec but held straighter and steadier than the Protec did. In fact IIRC I shot a PB at 70m with it a few days later. I even removed the side weight.
IMHO the only Hoyts worth shooting are the Elites.
Since 2001 I have owned 1 Ultratec, 4 Protecs and the UltraElite. It was by far the best of the bunch.
I almost didn't want to sell it. My Allegiance on the other hand I won't depart with for anything.
