Basically it's a level 1 coaching award, which is the first recognised step on the coaching ladder and allows you, on successful completion, to run beginners' sessions under the 'supervision' (i.e. in the same county
) of more senior coaches. You learn correct methods of setting up and running initial sessions, different coaching techniques and a range of practical tasks to make novice archers feel safe 7 shoot safely. It's half a dozen day sessions over six months IIRC with live assessments by, er, live assessors.
Anyone who is a current member of an archery club can take part.
