Maybe it was hot and tissus swelled and prevented a good blood irrigation...

It might also be that you wedges a nerve by doing a wrong movement at the wrist.

Personnally I had a sinovia khist at the bow wrist two years ago. It was located near the artery and my hand was often numb and painfull... But this is a rather easy problem to find out.
