Drawing against the stops !

I use a Hoyt, Ultra38, the way I shoot is to push against the riser, and pull hard on the string, indeed if I don't shoot like that I can't keep the bow steady on gold.
The Hoyt uses the cable as a draw stop, from observing a friends bow I know that its possible to actually over draw, and deflect the cable, How do I overcome that problem, do I need to be bothered about it, opinions pls folks !
