I've done tests and it makes no difference that I could detect, you just have to make sure your clearance is ok.

As a lefty I do always make sure I have "left hand" spinwings, but my recurve indoor arrows are straight fletched with feathers (you can only get right hand ones here now) and my compound indoor arrows are helical right handed fletched. Because it looks nice.

I'm considering using plastic vanes rather than spins on my ProTours. What I'd like to know is, should I fletch them straight or helical? My biggest fear is that if one isn't quite straight the arrow will drift sideways.
