One of the reasons beiter stuff is more expensive is that they go to extraordinary lengths to make the stuff the best it can be including the choice of materials used. In the case of nocks as an example they are tested designed not to expand or contract over a wide temperature range (much wider than you would expect on a shooting field anywhere in the world) so I am not surprised that putting them in the freezer does not work.
