Limb weight comparison Stylist / AMO I need to purchse new limbs and am unlikely to get the chance to try them - have a new Inno handle and am going to get Inno limbs. Problem is I currently shoot a Stylist. Does anyone have experience of converting Stylist limb weights to AMO? I think I might have the answer but would like some input. I am shooting 42lb Stylists with 4 packers on each limb. I measured this (my prefered draw weight) at 26.25" from the button and got 37.5lb (on a spring type fishing scale). I then removed a couple of packers - leaving 2 to give me a heavier draw weight. I managed to shoot with the increased weight but would not want to go much heavier the weight at 26.25" from the button is now 38.25lb. Doing the calculation I get a similar result: 42lb minus 1.75 in of draw = 38.5lb minus a couple of packers = 37.5lb. I need to decide between 36ib limbs and 38ib limbs. I do not want to be over bowed but I do want to get similar or better sight marks. I am swaying towards 36lb Innos as even if my top end weight is correct (38.25lb) I would expect to get similar sight marks as the limbs should be faster. Any/all input much appreciated. (My draw length is 28.25" and I shoot a 68" bow.) Thanks |
