Agreed. My dad use to cut groves in the shaft to spread the nock and make it fit tighter. Im more of a perfectionist so dont do this personally. After having a fletch come off at a FITA a couple years ago whilst shooting compound, the arrow hit a low white at 70mts. Since then I take no chances with equipment failure.
