I've foolishly shot in all sorts over the last twenty years. I can remember packing up at the odd shoot - sometimes common sense has to prevail when your other half is waiting to start the 5 hour journey home and the weather is chucking all it has at the field.

I've been a non-starter too. The joy of sleeping in a tent or a van does put you in closer touch with the elements at that "do I get up and shoot or do I have a long lie and see what tomorrow brings?" time of the morning. I am talking extreme conditions here folks, not the odd stiff breeze, or threatening cloud on the horizon.

Yup its dissappointing when you've been looking forward to a particular event, but fortunately the good weather days have far outnumbered the bad over the years, so my archery memories are full of endless days of sunshine and cooling breezes

Team events always seem to be windy. They're either held on a hill or in a valley. When you are on a team you just have to get on with it regardless.

I've got a great selection of new waterproofs to shoot in this summer, so I can guarantee they'll stay rolled up in the bottom of my bag for the next 5 years.
