I have a booster scope and a cartel scope, both have multicoated lenses and are fine. By starting with an innexpensive scope you don't loose much if you ever want a more expensive one. I quite like the booster of the two, slightly better made to my mind and generally have known make of optics.

I have tried uncoated scopes before and personally wouldn't touch them there can be glare when the sun is in the wrong place (not that it ever is, if you know what I mean)
