Dont quote me on this but I believe during the 100 years war arrows were manufactured by the thousands in England then sent off with the armies to resupply the archers.
I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiments of the series "Robin Of Sherwood", as the writers and producers certainly tried their best to be as close to historicly accurate, as well as entertaining, whereas the modern series of Robin Hood, just doesn't to fit.

I remember reading that the glues for fixing fletchings to an arrow, aren't as powerful as modern day glues, but the only thing that I can think of that may have been a kind of clue for fletchings, it by melting wax onto and arrow and holding a fletching in place till the wax cools again, before binding the arrow with linen... would this have been done in those time or was there a different process used?
