dunno - id have thought (that for warbows at least) theyd have made bows to a set of standard weights and standard arrows to match(ish)

that way any archer can pick up any bow and any arrows and have a reasonable chance of (relatively) accurate shooting - easier to supply logistically and more efficient in a combat setting ?
