I would expect a compound draw length to be 1" to 1 1/2" shorter than the same archer shooting a recurve.

I have seen it said by several people; Bernie Pellerite, Chris Jones to name but two, if my memory serves me right, words to the effect that "most compound archers could improve by reducing their draw length".
