You can get the springs from Carter, although they recommend that the release is sent back to them to have work done they will provide spares for their releases, it might also be a good thing to ask for some casing screws at the same time because if the release hasn't been opened for some time the screws can be really tight to undo and the hexagon socket can round out. The springs sit in pockets milled into the release casing, if you want more info, phone Carter and talk to Forrest, he's very helpful and really knows his stuff.

I will get onto Carter. the annoying thing is it only came back from carter in January after a complete overhaul (everything inside changed) but at that time I wasn't shooting with stiff strings so didn't think to specify, hence it came back with a medium spring (not their fault). From initially sending the release to getting it back was five or six weeks though and I don't want such a wait again, hence why I was thinking of doing it myself.
